we take pride in offering specialized 11+ tuition for Year 5 and Year 4 students. We understand that the 11+ journey can be challenging, and that’s why we’re here to provide clarity on our program and how it can benefit your child.
Understanding Our Program
1️⃣ When Does It Start?
Our program kicks off with an initial assessment to understand your child’s baseline performance. This assessment helps us create groups with similar capabilities, ensuring a tailored learning experience.
The test consists of English and maths.

Description: Two sections Arithmetic and Numerical Reasoning.

Description: There will be comprehension, SPaG, and creative writing sections for evaluation.

2️⃣ Group Dynamics
We believe in the power of small-group learning. Our classes typically consist of 6 to 8 children with similar capabilities. Group allocation is regularly reviewed to ensure optimal progress.
3️⃣ The Academic Year
Our tuition program begins in the second week of September and continues through August/September the following year, aligning with the 11+ test date. First Session 10 September 2023.
4️⃣ Sunday Sessions
Every Sunday afternoon, your child will attend a 2-hour session. One hour is dedicated to math, while the other focuses on English. This balanced approach ensures comprehensive skill development.
5️⃣ Creative Writing Workshops
In addition to core subjects, we offer regular creative writing workshops throughout the year (approximately 4-5). These workshops stimulate creativity and enhance writing skills.
6️⃣ Weekly Group Sessions and Progress Testing
As a standard practice, we conduct weekly group sessions. Every fifth week, we administer a progress test based on topics covered up to that point. By April, most 11+ topics will have been covered.
7️⃣Intensive Preparation and Mock Tests
As the 11+ test date approaches, our program becomes more intensive. Progress tests transition into mock tests, covering all 11+ exam topics. This ensures that your child is well-prepared for the big day.
8️⃣ Diverse Exam Patterns
We expose your child to various exam patterns, including GL (objective type questions with Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, and Maths) and the Independent School Exam – BlueCoat Liverpool. Our comprehensive approach covers all aspects of these exams.
9️⃣ Study Materials and Practice Tests
Throughout the year, we provide study materials, practice tests, progress tests, and mock tests to ensure your child’s 11+ exam journey is as smooth as possible.
