Really a centre of excellence for 11 plus grammar school preparations. The tutors are very knowledgeable and they teach the children with the concepts. The tests are really invaluable and these tests are great to see where your children is in terms of the progress and they have review session to show them where they have gone wrong and solution to improve. The creative writing workshop is very helpful for the kids to know the concepts and how to build a good creative story. Overall happy with their service and definitely recommend for anyone who is preparing for 11 plus grammar school exams in Liverpool.

There are three written papers and a mental maths paper.
- English- Comprehension- standard answer questions, not multiple choice and a 20 minute essay task.
- Maths- Standard format, lots of worded questions.
- Mental Maths- Expect lots of questions which will really stretch times tables knowledge and ability to apply it.
- Verbal Reasoning- We believe this is a GL type paper.

Traffford Grammar School Consortium 11 Plus Exam Format Details
The Trafford Grammar School Consortium comprises Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, Altrincham Grammar School for Girls, Sale Grammar School, Stretford Grammar School and Urmston Grammar School, which means that children applying to any of these five schools only have to take the 11plus test once. GL Assessment are the test provider for Year 7 entry testing for September 2024 and beyond.
The entrance examination will consist of two tests (2 x 1 hours) containing:
* verbal
* non-verbal
* mathematics skills.
